The Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition is a limited edition single malt whisky from the Yamazaki Distillery in Japan. Released in May 2024, it commemorates the distillery’s rich history and its exciting future.
This special bottling is a blend of Yamazaki’s distinctive malt whiskies, including those matured in both Mizunara (Japanese oak) and Spanish oak casks. This combination creates a complex and rich flavour profile. The whisky itself has a reddish-amber colour, suggesting the deep and mature character within.
In addition to the tantalising flavours, the Yamazaki Story of the Distillery 2024 Edition is presented in a special design that reflects its significance. The bottle, in the shape of Yamazaki’s signature pot still design, features a special label to commemorate the 2024 Edition. This label features an image of the Yamazaki distillery itself, which was recently renovated in 2023. The image on the label, printed on traditional Japanese paper, symbolises the distillery’s commitment to both its heritage and continued innovation as it moves into the next century.
